BOSTON VACCINATION DAY? ??‍♂️

Fall 2021 is officially here and we’ve gotten a glimpse of what concert life will be like post pandemic. Last Saturday a vaccination awareness event took place at Malcom X park in Roxbury. The event was thrown to inform the public about current health concerns. Local acts performed to draw an audience and to be frank it was the names on the bill that caught our attention.

We stopped by once we got wind of the show and got there in time to catch BORI ROCK’s set. Some of the acts that we missed included PIMPDADDY_DANE, BIG SOSA, MAYE STAR and more.

BORI kept it light and graced us with his unique flow and catchy ad-libs, it’s gonna be dope to see him under the big lights at Paradise Rock Club this Friday.

The Teflon Hoot was proceeded by Grammy nominated and now Cali based rapper CALIPH. CALIPH performed a few of his hits and got the crowd involved. He had high packed energy throughout his performance but it was most exciting to see him perform ‘PALTIES’.

CLARK D the odd yet intriguing rapper really got the audience going. We didn’t get a chance to chat with him but it was dope to see him perform some of the songs we have been bumping over the summer.

It was hard to tell who the headliner actually was. CHAVO, the Atlanta based rapper that has ties to the MADE MEN and other Boston rap pioneers, hit the stage second to last. He seemed to have gotten the most camera phone lights and brought a celebrity presence to the show. His song RYUK got a dope response from the audience and got us excited to bump the rest of his latest project ‘CHAVO’s World 2’ produced by PI’ERRE BOURNE!

The last act to hit the stage was MOST HIGH KINGDOM. The rap group is compiled of 3 individuals who each have a different style and bring a different element to their act.

We were at the event for a short amount of time, but definitely got enough to catch a good vibe. We run into CARTER, the photographer responsible for these photos! Big shout out 2 him! Head to his page to show him some love @isthisCarter ?.

Joyner Lucas x Millyz x Lil Skies @ Palladium in Worcester

Summer 2021 officially ended September 6th and was topped off beautifully on the 5th with a crazy show for the home team!

#JOYNERFEST was a well curated end of the summer concert which included the likes of GIO DEE (who was a surprise guest), Cambridge’s own MILLYZ (who has been carrying the MASSACHUSETTS flag), LIL SKIES (a RocNation artist) and the headliner JOYNER LUCAS who is actually raised in Worcester!

The show was packed with fans from all over New England and Massachusetts eager to see the up and coming stars perform.

JOYNER LUCAS has taken the industry by storm over the past several years. With appearances on EMINEM’s album, countless tracks with big name features and an arsenal of witty lyrics and polished flows JOYNER has created a movement that is definitely worth paying attention too. It’s nice to see a Massachusetts native to be creating national attention.

JOYNER however wasn’t the only one on the bill to be generating national sale numbers.
MILLYZ, who has just recently released his BLANCO 4 project (that topped at 93 on BILLBOARD: Top Current Album Sales to date) also hit the stage that night as mentioned earlier.
MILLYZ had fans excited to see in live in action. With nation wide buzz surrounding his project it was nice to see him perform in his home state. The Cambridge native brought out his mascot to help him hype up the crowd and to add some flare to his set.

High Level Rap was the tone MILLYZ set but he brought out well known Boston rapper GIO DEE to help assist him with some more versatility.

The next to hit the stage was LIL SKIES. The Pennsylvania native was the only one of the main acts that is not from Massachusetts but is nice melodies and pain references made him a good fit for the show. SKIES definitely added some star power to the event being that he still pretty young he has been active and creating buzz since he started making music in 2012.

Concert Crave currently holds the torch for throwing top notch events especially as of late and for the upcoming weeks. Be sure to keep an eye out for more information on upcoming shows! Big shout out to the hard worker and great photographer SAMANTHA POWERS! Be sure to visit her Instagram fro more pics and show her some love!! @shotsbysp_

Isaiah Rashad live at the House of Blues Boston

TDE’s artist Isaiah Rashad is fresh off his hiatus and is getting things kicked off in our city! Isaiah debuted his Lil Sunny’s Awesome Vacation tour at the House of Blues in Boston on September 8th.

The vibe of the night was filed with high-packed underground talent. The TDE camp had the presence of mind to include the Brockton native Van Buren boys in the acts. Their performance was a precursor to the VB headlined show at Paradise Rock Club on 9.24.

It was a vibey night with a mix of smooth/ chill music and high packed energy performances. ISAIAH brought out supporting acts @childishmajor and @ray.vaughn who did an epic stage dive and was there performing for the first time!

It was a blessing to be present and enjoy Tennessee rapper’s return to the stage and the scene. It feels good to know that he kicked off the tour here in Boston! Big shout out 2 the city for bringing the vibes! Keep it up it’s gonna be a great fall season.

Shout out to the photo man Harris for his great stills!! Now we need to get some video cams in there for y’all!! ? ?? ?

LIL BABY + LIL DURK PERFORM AT THE XFINITY CENTER

Summer 2021 is wrapping up and like every other year people were looking towards Labor Day to top it off.
With the city buzzing with energy, people flocked to two separate concert halls on September 1st. The major shows of that night were Alabama’s rising star YUNG BLEU @ BIG NIGHT LIVE in Boston and the show we will be focusing on in this article, the LIL BABY + LIL DURK concert that took place at Xfinify center in Mansfield.

Like most shows provided by LIVENATION at the Xfinty center these acts came within full blown sets to really enhance the concert experience.
This high profile check concert included BANKROLL FREDDIE, RYLO RODRIGUEZ and COI LERAY!

LIL DURK and LIL BABY didn’t perform much from their joint project but they each respectfully put on a great show.
LIL DURK hit the stage around 8:30 and performed hits for nearly an hour! He brought out fellow OTF members with him to help tear down the stage. The Chicago native and proclaimed Voice performed songs from all over his discography which was a treat for all OTF fans.

LIL BABY closed off the night also performing for upwards to two hours.  The Hero mesmerized the audience with performances from his wide verity of music. He complimented his effortless flows and resonating lyrics with great showmanship and  stage presence.

To add more personal flaire to his set, LIL BABY did a series of outfit and jewelry changes on stage in front of the audience.

The Atlanta native ended the show by bringing out Massachusetts own JOYNER LUCCAS to perform their latest song together. It was dope to see the audience to give JOYNER that love, shout to LIL BABY for bringing him out and showing awareness to where he was.

All in all it was a great show. Shout out to @bejana for sharing her insights on the show and big shout out 2 @flick_killer for the great shots! ?

NOLABEL and IDK Brings out RICO NASTY

Summer is known for recreation, but this year class was in session. We’ve heard talks about the notorious NO LABEL ACADEMY taught by professor and well known rapper IDK. He had his Summer ‘21 class as opening acts for the Ms. NASTY concert last Saturday at Paradise Rock Club.
Notable mentions go to NEEMZ, TAMERA and APOLLO for getting the crowd amped and ready to mosh during the main act.

The energy was high packed throughout the night as alternative vibes blared through the speakers. The audience consisted of about, what photographer @isthiscarter described as “80% of women moshing” lol.

Shout out to the homie @isthiscarter for the pictures!!

Lil Tjay: Destined 2 Win Tour In Worcester

It’s been over a year since we last been to a Concert Crave show and we were excited for it to be LIL TJAY in concert for his DESTINED 2 WIN tour!

Crowds flocked to the Pavillon in Worcester, MA on August 20, 2021 to see the Bronx native perform new tracks from his latest project DESTINED 2 WIN.

LIL TJAY did not disappoint! His set was a jammed pack 40 minutes of new and old tracks that had the whole crowd singing along to every lyric.

The Concert Crave crew did a good job hosting the event by providing merchandise and a meet and greet with TJAY after the show.

The audience consisted of groups of people from all over Massachusetts exited to see LIL TJay (the main act) and the opening acts such as Prada J, the boys from YS Productions, the rap duo UglyBoi and TK, and a couple more artist.
They all did their thing and kept the crowd entertained as they awaited the main act to hit the stage.

All in all it was a good night. The smoke machine took my green TRAPSEED hat, which really broke my heart but can honestly say that was the only down side of the night.
AND the fact we didn’t land a drop from LIL TJAY ?! No biggie the Bronx star hits up The Strand in Providence soon so maybe we’ll see! ? ???❤️‍?

Travis Scott @ The Grand

Night life in Greater Boston is really turning up. Wether it’s concerts with local acts or bigger shows with well known headliners the music scene in and around the area seems to be thriving.

One of the biggest contributors to the new standard that is being place on Boston night life, The Grand, hosted one of hiphop’s biggest current pop stars, TRAVIS SCOTT.

I don’t know about y’all, but we are excited to see this! Feels like Boston is attracting more and more celebrities. And with the addition of new condos and buildings going up, really feels like Boston has some tricks up the sleeve when it comes to the social scene. Just drive through downtown and you can feel the vibe switch from just a few years ago.

With this new vibe comes venues like Big Night Live and The Grand. We have yet to check out BNL but are definitely looking forward to it in the future.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to make it out to the Cactus Jack show the other day but got some flicks courtesy @maxvisuals_

There were mix reviews about the actual event, but just the fact that it took place shows we are in the right direction.
Keep it up Boston! ❤️‍? ?

RAH SWISH live in Worcester

Many people do not realize how much goes into putting together a good show. Time after time, VASJAN and his crew prove to be a team that knows what they are doing.
Last Thursday, VASJAN and Ben Joseph put together another successful concert. This time around they brought rapper from Canarsie and W?? affiliate, RAH SWISH!

There was a last minute location change for the event that cause some minor confusion, but Vas and his team did their best to get the logistics right and accommodate all who participated.

The night kicked off for us with a series of interviews from the lead dj, the opening acts and two beautiful coordinators of the event.

The dj of the event was Roxbury resident @scoobyav. His light/ cool personality made for a good curator of vibes as he got the party started early and kept the sound sounding right all night.

We got a chance to sit down with 6 out of the nine performers and get an up close look on who they are and where their music is coming from.
We interviewed Mattapan raper @Mikeeze, two cousin rappers from Brockton @BigAudi6a and @CampaignBenny, Queens rappers @Losoybw and lastly @MikeyMilano from Dorchester.

We also interviewed the only woman performer that night @CinderallaGeneral but unfortunately by the time we got to her the music in the venu was loud and hard to hear ?.
We did get the chance to chop it up and hopefully you’ll see her someday on 2BLUNTLIVE!

Other opening acts included North Cambridge’s @FassCoupe who brought out the Hyde Park street legend @JuniorMass; @Shu1Bill from Lawarance who made his perfromance rememberable with his crazy stage presence; and the prince of the city, Boston that is, @TrottieYGizzle who was responsible for filling up half the venu with his crew alone.
The interviews and some of the performances are already up now on our SHOWS tab. Look out for performance from @FassCoupe @JuniorMass @Shu1Bill and @TrottieYGizzle out later this week here in 2BLUNTLIVE!

As far as the headlining act, it was lit! The WOO’s came in swarming like hurricane and before you know it had everyone ‘Treeshin’ !

RAH SWISH came in wearing a purple ski mask that reflected light in the dark and the moment he started speaking you could feel his star power.

Brodi performed a track or two before he got into his latest released song with the late POP SMOKE ‘BRUSH EM’!
It was a scene to remember but surprisingly the crowd, well the ladies really, went crazy when ‘Treeshin’ actually came on! It was a movie.. that’s coming out soon ??

Like a hurricane, the WOO’s came in did damage and dipped. They moved so fast and were low, we didn’t even see them sneak out the door! Lol.

Anyways, the night was lit af. If you have not experienced one of VASJAN shows your missing out! Stay tuned on our IG (@2BLUNTTV) for updates on upcoming events! Next up is DAVE EAST.

We are gearing up to drop the full RAH SWISH performance video by the end of the week. If you weren’t there and didn’t get to Treesh with everyone, sit back, watch and enjoy the show from the comfort of.. where ever you are, exclusively on 2BLUNTLIVE!

Shout out 2 the photographers @jpsrods @jwillette35 ?❤️‍?

Dusty LOCANE comes to Mezzo

Handsamsos is a well known promoter here in the area and the public was itching to get to one of his shows since outside has opened back up. Providence was the location and Mezzo was the destination and the main act was Canarsie’s own DUSTY LOCANE. He and the members came through ROLLIN’ and everyone loved it.

We weren’t too sure what to expect from Brooklyn rapper but knew the event would be turnt.

DUSTY has a way with the ladies and the audience at attendance would be a good testament to that statement.

Mezzo started to fill up pretty early with guest from all over Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Harbor Point’s Pistol Bandz and Konnect Kellz were in the spot and North Cambridge’s FassCoupe opened up for DUSTY (technically he performed after but w.e lol).

After a performance like the one DUST LOCANE put on, we are pretty sure we’ll be doubling back to see him again at Jewel Nightclub on the 15th. If you missed this one you should definitely make sure you make it to the show on Thursday.

Your boy got a dope vibe! Its only natural to think about the late great Pop Smoke when you hear DUSTY’s music but after seeing him live you can really tell what your hearing is him.
Now let’s see if we can land that interview ???????

Big shout out 2 Slim for the photo work!!  @slimt.artwork

BISHOP ALLEN BAZAAR

Summer is here and is just as hot as the talent out in the city. Boston has a bubbling music scene with artists of all arrays and with varying styles, our man Kamal aka 20, couldn’t resist but to create an event that showcases some of the heat out here. In Central Sq in Cambridge, MA a new platform for artists has been created and is quite frankly pretty dope. It’s called STARLIGHT located on Bishop Allen Drive, from the research that we have done the place was created as an initiative to give people a space to gather and celebrate life and the arts.

We were bummed that we missed this event, it really seemed like a vibe. Thankfully there were some talented photographers on the scene that took great shots. The photos presented in the blog were brought to you by the lovely Ms. Marika (@Marikarosegold)

The performance line up was pretty stacked, ya boy 20 really did his thing. The young event planner has a pretty good track record of past events and his reputation of providing good vibes seems to persist. This Kamal was first time putting together a concert, he definitely seem to have nailed it. 20 is also infamously known for throwing art showcases in the Boston area and said to be the first to throw a sneaker convention in the city, Sneakergreet.

Kamal is not an artist nor producer but has been spending time with influential artists like SOAP.WAV and had an understanding of the energy and pent up potential in the city. He told us it was all the good music and visuals local artists have been putting out that encouraged him to put together the showcase on Bishop Allen Drive. The free event had a great show out of performers and people attending, we really can’t wait until the next one.

20 went on to tell us that he was a bit nervous when putting the whole thing together, but once things started to get into motion people and artist from all over we’re trying to get involved. This event was necessary and hopefully a start to a good thing.
